In 2004, Highland Knolls Veterinary Hospital started the long process of bcoming a 'paperless' office.  As many Doctors around the world have learned, there is no such thing, only a 'paper light' office.

Begining January 1, 2011 we will be taking another leap in the process.  As a general rule you should not notice much of a differance in the office, but here are some changes:

1.  Our office will be adding a Digital Imaging Atlas (DIA).  This will be done in stages, the first of which is an in-office video that will play in our waiting room.  Next will be certain on-line videos, highlighting key medical conditions.  The last phase will be an in-office program run by the Doctors.  From this program they will be able to show you detailed bodily images as well as normal and abnormal conditions.  The Doctors will also be able to e-mail you that detailed information for you to review later or with your family.

2.  Most of our forms you fill out today will be digitized and put into PDF format.  These forms are available on our web page or on our client education laptops in the hospital.  You will be asked to fill out as much information as possible on the computer.

3.  All forms, documents and old or transfered records will be scanned and attached to your pet(s) file in a digital format.

4.  You will be e-mailed all lab results.  Please be sure to have an up-to-date e-mail address on file.  Also be sure to have our e-mail address in you address book to avoid missing our message due to a spam filter.  Our e-mail address is reminders@vetofkaty.com
