Dr. Mark Purser received his Bachelors of Science degree from Texas A & M in 1984,
and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Dr. Pursers career in
veterinary medicine began in Spring, TX, where he practiced for 8 years. Dr.
Pursers cases primarily involved dog and cat medicine and surgery, but he also
had an extensive avian and exotic pet clientele.
Dr. Purser was elected, by his peers, to the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association
Board of Directors in 1991. He served for three years as the delegate for community
relations and Harris County Pet Over Population Task Force. In 1995, Dr. Purser
served as President Elect, and as President in 1996. Dr. Purser is currently a
Director of both the Harris County Veterinary Medical Foundation and Harris County
Veterinary Medical Association.
In 1996, Dr. Purser moved his family and practice to Katy, TX.
Dr. Purser’s family includes his wife Angela, son Chase, daughter
Kristen, dogs McKenzie, McBeth, Sophie and Candy.
Andrew C. Faist, D.V.M.
Dr. Andrew Faist received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in 2001,
and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Dr. Faist came to Highland Knolls Veterinary Hospital
in June 2004, and has enjoyed practicing veterinary medicine here since that time. Dr. Faist's cases
primarily involve practicing medicine and surgery with both dogs and cats.
Dr. Faist is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, The Texas Veterinary Medical
Association, and the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Faist is an avid fisherman and is
a member of the Coastal Conservation Association.
Dr. Faist and his wife, Jennifer now live in Katy after moving from the Brenham, Texas area in 2004.
Their family pets include their dogs Maverick, Ace and Cookie.
Michael R. Seely, D.V.M.
Dr. Michael Seely attended Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2000
and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. He began working at Highland Knolls Veterinary Hospital in
January 2005. In addition, Dr. Seely also works at Veterinary Emergency Referral Group, Inc (VERGI). He
has strong interests in emergency and critical care, soft tissue surgery, and ultrasound.
Dr. Seely and his wife, Traci, have lived in Katy for two and a half years. Traci teaches fourth grade for
Katy ISD. They have a daughter in kindergarten and a one and a half year old son. Their family also
includes Sampson, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and Katie, a Golden Retriever, as well as a turtle and numerous
hermit crabs.
Dr. Seely is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, The Texas Veterinary Medical
Association, and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.
In his spare time, Dr. Seely enjoys numerous outdoor activities including golfing, fishing, and hunting as
well as spending an evening reading a good book.
